
INTRODUCTION
The Master’s Program in Hajj and Umrah Management is a pioneering academic initiative designed to develop specialized professionals capable of managing the complex and evolving needs of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage sector. As two of the most significant religious pilgrimages in the Islamic world, Hajj and Umrah draw millions of pilgrims annually from across the globe, requiring a high level of coordination, planning, and service excellence. ENTRY REQUIREMENT
i. Standard Entry Requirement:
Applicants with formal academic qualifications may apply through the standard pathway. The following criteria
apply:
• Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, as accepted by
the Senate of the Higher Education Provider (HEP); OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent with a CGPA between 2.50 and 2.74, with at least three (3) years of
relevant work experience or internal assessment; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.49, with at least five (5) years of
relevant work experience.
ii. Open Entry Requirements (APEL.A)
For applicants who may not meet the standard academic qualifications, admission is also available via APEL.A —
a pathway that recognises work experience and lifelong learning:
• Malaysian citizen or non-citizen
• At least 30 years old at the time of application
• Possess STPM/Diploma or equivalent
• Have relevant work experience
